Polish Lowland Sheepdog

The Polish Lowland Sheepdog is, of course, a herding dog and is known to have been worked since at least the 15th century and counts the Hungarian Puli amongst his ancestors.  Medium in height at up to 20" he is shorter in body than the Bearded Collie, making for a more cobby appearance and usually is born without a tail (bobtail).  The coat of the Polish Lowland Sheepdog is shaggier than that of the Beardie, more akin to the Old English Sheepdog (Bobtail) and it is likely that there is common ancestry there, too.  All colours are permitted.

He is a very intelligent dog and responds well to training and has a great affinity with children, loving to play.  Although not numerically strong he has much in his favour and makes a lovely family dog.

They will not be judgmental and are best able to find the right permanent home for him.
